통일부가 4·27 판문점선언 3주년을 하루 앞둔 26일 종로구 삼청동 남북회담본부 3층 대회의실에 마련된 남북회담을 위한 영상회의실에서 시연회를 했다.

영상회의실 구축은 통일부가 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 확산으로 향후 북한과 비대면 회의 필요성이 커졌다고 판단해 지난해 하반기부터
계획을 세우고 추진한 사업이다.

총 4억 원의 예산을 들여 풀 HD급 카메라 6대와 98인치 대형 액정표시장치(LCD) 모니터 4대, 통합제어 프로그램 등을 설치해 영상회의실을 꾸렸다.

이날 시연회는 남북회담본부 영상회의실에서, 북한 대신 판문점 평화의집을 연결해 통일부 당국자들 간 대화를 나누는 방식으로 진행됐다.

당국자가 마이크를 켜고 대화를 나누는 동안 회의실 전방에 설치된 2대의 대형 모니터 속에 발언자 각각의 얼굴이 클로즈업됐다.

대화가 끝나고 발언자가 마이크 전원을 끄자 모니터 속 화면은 발언자의 얼굴에서 회의장 전체 모습으로 빠르게 전환됐다.
또 모니터 한 곳에 문서를 띄우고 함께 서류를 보며 영상회의를 이어가기도 했다.
통일부의 영상회의실 구축은 향후 성사될지 모를 북한과의 비대면 회의에 대비하는 차원이기도 하지만, 코로나19를 이유로 일절 대화의 테이블로 나오지 않는 북한을 끌어내기 위한 궁여지책 성격도 있다.

앞서 문재인 대통령은 올해 신년사에서 “언제든, 어디서든 만나고, 비대면의 방식으로도 대화할 수 있다는 우리의 의지는 변함없다”고 호소했다.

실제 남북 영상회의가 성사되려면 북한과 합의가 필수지만, 기술적으로는 어려움이 없을 것으로 정부는 판단하고 있다.

통일부 당국자는 “남북 간 전용 통신망을 활용해 호환성을 확보했고, 북한도 코로나19 상황 이후 내부적으로 영상회의를 진행했다는 보도도 나오고 있어
기술적으로 문제가 없다고 본다”고 설명했다.

그 밖에도 통일부는 코로나19 상황에서 남북이 대표단 규모를 최소화해 만나는 ‘안심 대면회담’ 운영 방안을 자체적으로 마련해 이날 소개하기도 했다.

방역 수준에 따라 회담 절차와 방역 조치, 대표단 인원수를 세분화해 크게 ▲ 완전 비접촉 회담 ▲ 접촉 최소화 회담 ▲ 방역 안심존 회담 등 세 가지 유형으로 구분했다.

당국자는 “코로나19 상황에도 남북 당국 간 대면회담이 가능할 수 있도록 마련한 것”이라며 “향후 북측과 회담 방식을 협의할 때 우리 측 기본입장이 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.

After relocating their office, the company renovated its former office space into a training center containing lecture rooms, hands-on training rooms, and a live studio. All areas are equipped with video and audio systems for streaming and recording.

Shure wireless microphones and advanced ceiling microphones pick up trainers’ voices that are then transmitted throughout the rooms by Crestron audio systems. Trainers and their presentations are delivered to Epson projectors and Samsung Flips through Panasonic camcorders and a Crestron video matrix. Some of the rooms can be separated or combined for specific purposes. All the features are controlled on the Crestron wall panel.

The eco-friendly and comfortable training center includes a studio, allowing live events to be broadcasted to all employees. Starbucks looks forward to increasing employee satisfaction and creating more value from these well-designed audiovisual spaces.

The project was awarded to the nation’s largest ICT player, Samsung SDS; and Jushin AVT, a trusted partner of the company and a PSNI member, gave full support and completed the project successfully.

The entire system is controlled by the Crestron TSW touch screen.

When Invesco Real Estate Korea planned their new office space, which was completed in June 2019, they imagined flexible meeting rooms and cutting-edge video conferencing environments that retained familiar technology, including the Microsoft Surface Pro and Microsoft collaboration tools.

Audio systems featured a Crestron soundbar, Crestron ceiling speakers, and the Poly Trio audio conferencing phone system. The whole system is controlled by the Crestron CCS Unified Communication solution.

The result? A flexible, integrated video conferencing environment that meets the needs of a global workforce, with the familiar technologies users know and love to use.
